The Big Woolshed is situated on Reola Station, 115 kilometres north of White Cliffs. Constructed in 1990 the sixteen stand horseshoe raised board was featured in the launch issue of Outback Magazine, as well as the Australian Geographic. When in operation a team of 30 shear 2500 sheep each day in The Big Woolshed. This family owned business uses helicopters and a series of laneways to manage the large numbers of sheep required each day during shearing. Reola Station has incorporated an artificial breeding program into their stock management, introducing excellent elite genetics into their flock to improve wool production and quality. Visitors are welcome, by appointment.
