Six Day Self Drive Broken Hill to Innamincka returning to Tibooburra and Broken Hill.

Day 1: 350 km
Broken Hill to Theldarpa, via Fowler's Gap, Packsaddle and Milparinka.
Overnight at Theldarpa. See notes above.
Day 2:
Theldarpa to Innamincka via Cameron Corner and the Strezlecki Track See notes above for directions from Theldarpa. From Cameron Corner the road heads west towards the Strezlecki Track crossing over tall sandhills, and in places spinifex grass. This is traditional cattle country.
Overnight at Innamincka.

The Strezlecki track is well maintained, and passes through the Moomba Gas and Oil Fields, far left. An information bay overlooking Moomba has been provided by Santos left. Passing through some amazing gibber country the road runs alongside a huge drilling rig, part of a pilot geo thermal power station, below, left. |

Day 3:
Innamincka to the Dig Tree, Nappa Merrie, return to Tibooburra via Orientos.
The road from Innamincka to the Dig Tree and back to Tibooburra would best be covered in a four wheel drive vehicle. There are some stony sections. Passing over the Cooper Creek at the Burke and Wills bridge the road is clearly sign posted to the Dig Tree. Nappa Merrie Station maintains an information bay, and toilet facilities at the famous site.
The shortest distance back to Tibooburra is via Orientos and Naryilco Stations. The road is satisfactory for 4 wheel drive vehicles, with care.
The alternative route is via Thargomindah in western Queensland. Always ensure that water, some food and spare wheels are carried and safety procedures are known and observed in case of accident or breakdown.

Day 4.
Visit Sturt National Park, perhaps overnight at Mt
Wood.
Day 5.
Tibooburra to White Cliffs
Over night at White Cliffs.
Day 6
White Cliffs to Broken Hill via the Darling River Port of Wilcannia.
