Here are just some of the things to see whilst staying in Tibooburra. Call into Sturt National Park office for more information.

Take a walk with the Tibooburra Heritage Guide for an insight into life in early Tibooburra.  A map and guide is available from most Tibooburra businesses.
Visit Tibooburra's Courthouse Museum, located in Briscoe Street, alongside the National Park office

 

 

At the end of Briscoe Street is Pioneer Park.  On display are several items from Tibooburra's history as well as an upturned replica of Sturt's whaling boat.  Sturt hoped to be able to sail it upon an inland sea. ( it was left at Depot Glen when Sturt retreated to Adelaide)  The replica boat is one of three public art pieces north of Broken Hill.  see more
Head out to Sunset Lookout for great  views of Tibooburra and the area surrounding. Head north from the township and follow the signs.

Visit Tibooburra's Drive in Theatre, one of few left in Australia
  Go prospecting!  Mt Stuart Station welcomes fossickers.  You never know your luck. Visit the local quarry where sandstone for Tibooburra's buildings was quarried.
Visit Toole's Family Hotel for a look at murals painted by Clifton Pugh, Drysdale and others.
Drop into the Tibooburra Hotel to see the Bar of Hats
Visit Tibooburra's Outback School of the Air

Call in at the Tibooburra Aboriginal Land  Council's Keeping Place
  Take a walk along the trail through the granite tors
Inspect the huge petrified tree at the entrance to the Tibooburra Bush Children's War Memorial Hostel.
