Pimpara Lake Bush campers and birdwatchers are welcome. |
![]() |
With beautiful lake-side campsites, Pimpara Lake is a perfect location for a quiet get-away. There are scores of native birds and other wild-life (spinifex hopping mice) on the property, plenty of places for walking or not-too-difficult 4 Wheel-driving. One of the historical features of the property is that it backs onto the sand dunes and salty creeks over which Sturt's expedition struggled between the campsite on Flood's Creek and their most famous site at Depot Glen. Visitors to the property are able to see at first hand measures that have been taken on the property to ensure adequate water supply for stock and domestic use, and the relationship between water and total grazing pressure on the land. 4WD self drive touring can be arranged. This includes along station tracks, or soft adventure creek beds. A nominal fee applies. Contact Ruth on 08 80912524 |
