Mutawintji National Park
|
 |
There
are many ways to experience the park:
-
Immerse yourself in
the landscape on one of the park’s walks; whether you prefer a short easy
stroll or an overnight hike there are ample opportunities here;
-
Camp under the
stars at the Homestead Creek Campground, where you can re-invigorate
yourself with a shower after a hard day exploring;
-
Be inspired by
amazing gorges, ephemeral creeks and waterholes; Mutawintji is one of the
few reliable sources of water in the area which has made it attractive to
both people and animals;
-
Sit and relax at
one of the sheltered picnic areas in the park;
-
Enjoy the prolific
birdlife of the park; more than 150 species have been recorded including the
rare Hall’s babbler;
-
Learn about the
geology of the area; the area is considered to be of major palaeontologic
significance.
