This is an example of a four day trip
around the Corner Country. The driving is relatively easy with the
main road used being the Silver City Highway. Two thirds of the highway
are sealed. Places visited include a sheep station in the Barrier
Ranges, Packsaddle, Milparinka, Sturt's Depot, Tibooburra and Cameron
Corner. Suitable for most vehicle types and caravans. Features explorer and mining heritage, pastoral heritage and great landscapes and people. |

This itinerary is a more adventurous
tour through the Corner Country, and to and from Innamincka and the Dig
Tree. The driving is still relatively easy but not necessarily suitable
for "soft 4WD vehicles" Places visited include the Barrier Ranges, Packsaddle, Milparinka Sturt's Depot, a working sheep station, Cameron Corner. Innamincka and the Dig Tree, Tibooburra and Sturt National Park. May also include Wanaaring and Bourke or White Cliffs ( and Mutawintji) Features explorer and mining heritage, pastoral heritage and great landscapes and people. |

Yet
another adventurous tour, these suggestions will have you
following the steps of early explorer Charles Sturt as he made
his way through the Corner Country in 1845. The route can be followed as
far as Cameron Corner, or even continue further along to Copper Creek
where Sturt also camped. The driving is not difficult, but a higher clearance 4WD is recommended. See also our geological tour for this route |
