Corner Country

Geological Tours

The Corner Country of outback New South Wales has a rich mining history, from the early days of gold mining near Milparinka and Tibooburra, to the scattering of talc, tin, copper, limestone and silver, lead and zinc mines across the whole area. Not to mention opal.

The area is also renown for its geology, and these tours, designed by Bob Brown and Nancy Vickery, will guide you along historic routes and interpret the geology of the landscape as you go. Always respect landholder's property rights and seek permission before you enter private property.
